My name is Johanna Martinez at 18 years of age I’m an aspiring model. In the future I have been made offers that due to school haven’t been able to accomplish. Finding myself almost out of high school and due to that having more time to pursue one of my goals; to become a model, I am excited about chasing my long life dream and goal.
Knowing myself how important and useful an education is for almost any type of job, I am at the time attending Hawthorne Math and Science Academy which is considered a Charter high school. I am a senior anxiously waiting for my up coming graduation on June of 2009. After that I hope to be able to attend college due that money is a problem in my family. My dream is to become a Psychologist and a Social worker. My family does not agree with my intended majors but my dreams are my dreams and I will do anything to pursue them.
My school teaches us how to become leaders and not followers and that I what I tend to be in any job I’m offered from now and on. Adding to this I served as a Cabin Leader at the LA Outdoor Science School for a week. I was the leader of six wonderful six graders from Bud Carson Middle School. It was a great experience because for once I felt like someone was looking up to me both respecting me and following my orders. I’m bilingual which was a big life saver for some students that attended and were ESL kids.
Throughout the years of being told that I was a beautiful or perfect for the type of person they were looking for I saw I had an opportunity to become a model or go even further. However, I know that beauty is not everything and people should have experience and a good personality as well. I have explained that I probably do not have the experience needed. Although I do know that I have a good personality or so I have been told by the people that surround my life. My life has never been easy because since I was born my parents been separated and me from them as well. Many teenagers suffer this type of situations but I have stood tall thought every situation other than my parent’s situation. I have many friends because I am friendly and outgoing person. Also to be a psychologist you need to be able to be patient and know how to deal with certain situations. Which I believe that I am capable of dealing with almost anything God puts on my way.

Experience

I have been made offers to model and make commercials to which I never could take part on for family inconveniences and school. Estimating the time, about three years ago I did do a photo session for this photographer named Chris Hand, I do not recall the company’s name but I could not go any further into that job offer because I had barely started high school and my mother thought it was better to focus on school first.
